Job Description

About Fluxicart

Fluxicart is a white-label multi-tenant marketplace platform that empowers merchants to create their own fully customized online stores (themes, domains, branding) while operating under a centralized platform that manages payments, deliveries, commissions, and administrative dashboards.

We are building the "Shopify + iFood + Production System" for the European market, starting with Ireland and expanding to Brazil.

Our ecosystem touches real people, every day:

  • Restaurant owners — working 14-hour days, managing inventory, staff, and customer expectations
  • Delivery riders — navigating traffic, weather, and tight deadlines to earn a living
  • Consumers — with dietary restrictions, health goals, and a desire for convenience
  • Fluxers — commercial representatives selling hope and opportunity to restaurant owners

🌍 The Journey: Ireland → Brazil

We're starting in Ireland and expanding to Brazil — two countries with very different food cultures, delivery dynamics, and consumer behaviors. We need someone who understands that one size does not fit all.

Ireland

Brazil

Food Culture

Pub food, fish & chips, takeaway

Feijoada, churrasco, street food, açaí

Delivery Market

Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats

iFood (dominant), Rappi, Uber Eats

Rider Dynamics

Bikes/e-bikes, regulated, higher pay

Motoboys (motorcycles), intense traffic

Restaurant Profile

Smaller kitchens, lower volume

High volume, complex operations

Consumer Behavior

Less frequent, higher value orders

Frequent orders, small baskets, price-sensitive

We are backed by a clear product vision, an active user base, and a roadmap that includes international expansion, WebSocket real-time features, and high-performance Rust microservices.

The Role

We are looking for a CX Designer — a unique hybrid role that goes beyond traditional UX/UI design. This is a role for someone who is obsessed with people, not just pixels.

You will live with our users — not just through interviews, but by experiencing their world. You'll spend time in restaurants, ride with delivery drivers, order food as a consumer, and sell the product as a Fluxer. You'll understand the human side of every touchpoint.

This is a role for someone who:

  • Loves food and hospitality — you understand the chaos of a restaurant kitchen
  • Cares about rider rights — you see delivery workers as people, not just a logistics problem
  • Understands health and nutrition — you know what it means to have dietary restrictions
  • Loves the art of selling — you understand what it takes to convince a restaurant owner to trust a new platform
  • Is passionate about quality of life — you believe technology should make people's lives better, not worse

And crucially...

  • Understands cultural differences — you know that what works in Dublin might not work in São Paulo
  • Is a cultural bridge — you can design experiences that respect both Irish and Brazilian contexts
  • Is adaptable — you'll spend time in both countries, understanding the nuances of each

Your mission: Design the end-to-end customer experience across the entire Fluxicart ecosystem — from the moment a Fluxer walks into a restaurant to the moment a consumer finishes their meal and the rider completes their delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Deep User Research & Empathy (40%)

Restaurant Owners

  • Spend time in restaurants in both Ireland and Brazil
  • Shadow owners and staff during peak hours
  • Understand the full operational chaos — inventory, staffing, prep, service, cleanup
  • Map the restaurant journey from opening to closing in both countries
  • Understand pain points — margins, staff turnover, delivery fees, platform commissions
  • Study the "moments of truth" — when a restaurant decides to trust a platform
  • Key question: How do we help restaurant owners in both countries thrive?

Delivery Riders (Fluxiway)

  • Ride with riders in both countries
  • Experience the streets, traffic, weather, and the app
  • Understand their daily struggles — finding parking, waiting for orders, dealing with restaurants
  • Map the rider journey from wake-up to log-off in both contexts
  • Identify pain points — payment delays, unfair ratings, safety concerns
  • Understand their motivations — flexibility, earning potential, independence
  • Advocate for quality of life improvements — rest periods, fair pay, safety features

Consumers

  • Order food — experience the full consumer journey from discovery to digestion
  • Understand dietary restrictions — allergies, intolerances, religious dietary needs, health goals
  • Map the consumer journey — browsing, selecting, customizing, paying, tracking, receiving, eating
  • Study health and nutrition needs — what are consumers always looking for?
  • Segment users — understand the difference between different consumer types
  • Understand local vs global — a consumer in Dublin has different needs than one in São Paulo

Fluxers (Commercial Representatives)

  • Go on sales calls — understand what it takes to sell to a restaurant owner
  • Understand the sales journey — cold approach, relationship building, closing the deal
  • Map the Fluxer journey — lead generation, client acquisition, ongoing support
  • Understand motivations — commission structures, autonomy, the thrill of the sale
  • Identify pain points — rejection, administrative overhead, tracking sales

Journey Mapping & Service Design (30%)

  • Create end-to-end journey maps for each user persona
  • Design service blueprints that connect front-stage and back-stage experiences
  • Identify moments of truth — the make-or-break touchpoints
  • Map emotional journeys — how users feel at every stage
  • Design "day in the life" scenarios for each persona
  • Understand the cultural context of both Ireland and Brazil

Product Design & Prototyping (20%)

  • Design user-centered solutions for each persona's pain points
  • Create low-fidelity prototypes to test with users
  • Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to translate research into beautiful interfaces
  • Design specialized flows:
    • Restaurant onboarding — making it easy for tired owners to sign up
    • Rider safety features — emergency contacts, check-in, fatigue monitoring
    • Consumer personalization — dietary filters, health goals, restaurant recommendations
    • Fluxer sales tools — CRM, lead tracking, client management
  • Build feedback loops — making sure users feel heard

Cultural & Localization Research (10%)

  • Understand the cultural context of each market:
    • Ireland — pub culture, fast food, takeaway preferences
    • Brazil — diverse regional cuisine, street food, food culture
  • Research local regulations — delivery worker rights, food safety, labor laws
  • Understand food trends in both markets — sustainability, plant-based, local sourcing
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in each market
