Job Description

About the job – UI/UX Designer (Games & Engagement)

About QuickMoca

QuickMoca is an AI‑powered career platform that helps professionals build personalized resumes and connects companies to qualified candidates through intelligent matching. We’re eliminating the “black hole” of job applications – making every interaction clear, rewarding, and even fun.

We believe that engagement, gamification, and player‑centric design can transform career tools. That’s why we’re looking for a UI/UX designer with game and Web3 experience to bring creativity, structure, and delight to our platform.

The Role

Location: Remote – Canada (anywhere)
Type: Full‑time
Reports to: Head of Product
Team: Product, Engineering, AI

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who has shipped interfaces for games, Web3 platforms, and gamified applications. You will own the visual and interaction design of QuickMoca’s candidate portal, recruiter dashboard, and public job board – infusing them with gamified elements, artistic UI, and smooth feedback systems.

You will also maintain our design system, create custom assets (icons, illustrations, micro‑interactions), and collaborate closely with developers to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation.

What You’ll Do

Gamification & Engagement Design

  • Design reward systems, progress trackers, and achievement badges that motivate users to complete profiles, apply for jobs, and engage daily.

  • Create quest‑like onboarding flows (e.g., “Resume strength challenge”, “Referral streak”) using game UX principles.

  • Work with product managers to identify friction points and turn them into engaging interactions.

UI/UX for AI & Web3 Features

  • Design intuitive interfaces for AI‑powered matching (score breakdowns, explanation panels).

  • Leverage your Web3 background (Solana, Dupe.fi) to explore future token‑based rewards or credential verification.

Design Systems & Asset Creation

  • Own and evolve QuickMoca’s design system (Figma variables, cross‑page component systematization).

  • Create custom icons, particles, illustrations, and animated micro‑interactions.

  • Document patterns and ensure consistency across desktop and mobile.

Research & Prototyping

  • Conduct competitive research, benchmark analysis, and user questionnaires (Discord, in‑app).

  • Build interactive prototypes (wireframes → high‑fidelity) to validate flows before coding.

  • Apply rule‑accuracy audits (similar to your board game work) to ensure AI logic matches user expectations.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

  • Prepare assets and handoff to developers (experience with Unity/React is a plus).

  • Participate in agile ceremonies, present designs, and iterate based on feedback.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 4+ years of UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showing game interfacesWeb3 platforms, or gamified applications.

  • Experience building and maintaining design systems (variables, component libraries).

  • Shipped or soon‑to‑ship projects (Steam games, crypto apps, hackathon platforms).

Skills & Competencies

  • Expert in Figma (prototyping, auto layout, variables) and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Strong ability to create icons, particles, and art elements for interfaces.

  • Solid understanding of UX research (benchmarking, user questionnaires, competitive analysis).

  • Familiarity with prototyping for games – player flows, inventory, skill checks, etc.

  • Basic knowledge of Unity is a plus.

Mindset

  • You think about engagement, rewards, and progression – not just usability.

  • You are meticulous: you validate every screen against requirements (like a rulebook).

  • You are comfortable working independently, including on NDA projects.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Solana or other blockchain platforms.

  • Knowledge of AI assistants or marketplace design.

  • Russian language (native) – not required, but a bonus.

  • Working hours: Flexible, with core overlap in Eastern Time.

  • Paid time off: 20 days vacation + local public holidays.

  • Equipment: Budget for a laptop/accessories.
