Job Description

About QuickMoca

QuickMoca is an AI‑powered career platform that helps professionals build personalized resumes and connects companies to qualified candidates through intelligent matching. We’re on a mission to eliminate the “black hole” of job applications – making every interaction clear, rewarding, and even fun.

We believe that engagement and gamification can transform how people experience job seeking. That’s why we’re looking for a UI/UX designer who has designed for games, Web3 platforms, and interactive experiences – someone who can bring creativity, structure, and player‑centric thinking to our product.

The Role

Location: Remote (Canada – anywhere)
Type: Full‑time
Reports to: Head of Product
Team: Product, Engineering, AI

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio in game interfacesWeb3 applications, and design systems. You will design user‑focused interfaces for our candidate portal, recruiter dashboard, and public job board – infusing them with gamified elements, smooth interactions, and artistic UI that stands out.

You will also contribute to our design system, create assets (icons, illustrations, micro‑interactions), and collaborate closely with developers to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation.

What You’ll Do

Gamification & Engagement Design

  • Design reward systems, progress trackers, and achievement badges that motivate users to complete their profiles and engage daily.

  • Create playful onboarding flows that reduce friction and increase retention – using principles from game UX.

  • Work with product managers to identify opportunities for “quest‑like” experiences (e.g., resume completion challenges, referral streaks).

UI/UX for Web3 & AI Features

  • Design intuitive interfaces for AI‑powered matching (score breakdowns, feedback explanations).

  • Leverage your Web3 experience (Solana, crypto, Dupe.fi) to explore future integrations (e.g., token‑based rewards, NFT credentials).

Design Systems & Asset Creation

  • Maintain and evolve QuickMoca’s design system (Figma variables, cross‑page component systematization).

  • Create custom icons, illustrations, particles, and other graphic elements that reinforce our brand and delight users.

  • Document patterns and ensure consistency across desktop and mobile views.

User Research & Prototyping

  • Conduct competitive research, best practice analysis, and user questionnaires (Discord, in‑app) to validate design decisions.

  • Build interactive prototypes (wireframes → high‑fidelity) to test flows before development.

  • Apply rule‑accuracy audits (similar to your board game work) to ensure our AI logic and user expectations match.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

  • Work with developers to prepare assets and handoff (Unity experience is a plus, but we use React/TypeScript).

  • Participate in agile ceremonies, presenting design solutions and iterating based on feedback.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 4+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally with game interfacesWeb3 platforms, or gamified applications.

  • A portfolio that shows shipped or soon‑to‑ship projects (Steam games, Web3 apps, hackathon platforms).

  • Experience building and maintaining design systems (Figma variables, component libraries).

Skills & Competencies

  • Expert in Figma (prototyping, auto layout, variables) and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Strong ability to create icons, particles, and art elements for interfaces.

  • Solid understanding of UX research methods (benchmarking, user questionnaires, competitive analysis).

  • Familiarity with prototyping for games – you understand how to map user flows, skill checks, inventory systems, etc.

  • Basic knowledge of Unity or similar engines is a plus (for asset preparation).

Mindset

  • You enjoy designing for engagement – you think about rewards, progression, and player psychology.

  • You are meticulous: you validate every screen against requirements (like a rulebook).

  • You are comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects (including NDA work).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Solana or other blockchain platforms.

  • Knowledge of AI assistants or marketplace design.

  • Fluent in Russian (native) – not required, but a bonus for team communication.

Why Join QuickMoca

  • Creative freedom: You’ll have room to experiment with gamification and artistic UI in a career tech context.

  • High impact: Your designs will be used by thousands of job seekers and recruiters monthly.

  • Remote‑first, Canada‑based: Work from anywhere in Canada, with flexible hours.

  • Flat structure: Work directly with the founder and product lead – no bureaucracy.

  • Growth opportunity: Lead gamification strategy and evolve our design system as we scale.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: 80,000–80,000–100,000 CAD / year (depending on experience).

  • Contract type: Full‑time employee.

  • Working hours: Flexible, with core overlap in Eastern Time.

  • Paid time off: 20 days vacation + local public holidays.

  • Equipment: Budget for a laptop/accessories.

  • Learning budget: Courses, conferences, design tools.
